What we collect and why

• Customer account: first and last name, company, business activity, country, postcode, phone number, email address and password (stored only in hashed form), to manage your account and your quote requests.
• Quote requests and orders: name, email, phone number, delivery address and your notes, to prepare quotes and to process and deliver orders.
• "Buy via WhatsApp" form (visitors in Pakistan): name, delivery address and the product concerned, to prepare your order before WhatsApp opens.
• Messages you send us by WhatsApp or email, to answer them.
• Business emails: we may occasionally email customers and business contacts about our catalogue. Each email contains an unsubscribe link; we record whether the links in it are clicked, to know which information interests our buyers. Unsubscribing stops these emails.
• Country of your connection: your IP address is used to look up your country, so that the right currency and regional options are shown. The country found for an IP address is stored for up to 7 days.

Cookies

The site uses a single essential cookie (pkf_session) to keep your quote cart, your login and form security working. It is deleted when the session ends. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Who processes your data

• OVH hosts the website and its database and sends the site's emails.
• geojs.io receives the IP address to return its country.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typeface; your browser downloads it from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• WhatsApp (Meta) handles the conversation when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for anything other than the purposes above.

How long we keep it

Account, quote and order data are kept for as long as our business relationship lasts and then for as long as accounting and legal obligations require. Contact details used for business emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Country look-ups are kept for 7 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, or to stop receiving our emails at any time. Write to info@pakistanknivesfactory.com; we answer within one month. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also contact your data protection authority.

Security

The whole site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, passwords are stored hashed, and access to the back office is restricted to our team.

Changes

We will update this page if the way we handle data changes.
