From the battlefield to the collector's shelf
Double-edged daggers have been forged for more than two thousand years, and the long groove running down the middle of this blade is one of their oldest features. Called a fuller, it takes weight out of the blade without making it weaker, which is why this 22.5 cm blade still feels balanced in the hand.
Today a Pakistan dagger like this one is above all a display and collection piece. The oval steel guard and warm teak handle give it the proportions of the historical models, and its leather case lets it hang on a wall or rest in a cabinet. Anyone who collects vintage Pakistan knives will recognise the style: workshops in Sialkot have been making daggers in this pattern for generations.
