Four blade families, one leather case
Every one of the 52 knives here comes with a leather case, so the decision rests on blade shape, handle and fittings.
- General-purpose and hunting knives: single-edged blades with teak, acacia or olive wood handles of 12 to 13 cm, like the Fixed Blade Knife with Golden Teak Wood Handle.
- Skinning knives with gut hook: a curved belly for game processing, with wood, horn or bone handles from 8.5 to 12 cm.
- Bowie knives: larger blades with brass guards or brass spine guards, for outdoor and collector shops.
- Daggers: double-edged and fullered blades with brass or steel guards, aimed at collectors and display.
A Pakistani dagger such as the Fixed Blade Dagger Knife with Olive Wood Handle appeals to a different customer from a skinner, so give the two separate places in the shop. Eleven models use Damascus steel for buyers who want pattern-welded steel in a working knife. Two more options are worth knowing: blade blanks with mounting rivets for hobby makers who fit their own handles, and multi-knife sets for gift buyers. On arrival, check that guards are tight, edges are even and each knife slides fully into its case.
