Holding a table knife for control
A good grip makes any table knife cut better, and the brass bolster on this set gives your finger a natural reference point:
- Hold the 12 cm handle in your right hand, with its end resting against the heel of your palm.
- Lay your index finger along the spine of the blade, just in front of the brass bolster, to guide the cut.
- Grip the handle between thumb and middle finger; the knife should feel balanced, not clenched.
- Cut with drawn strokes, letting the edge work, then rest the knife on the plate between bites.
- Avoid holding it like a pencil, which looks awkward and gives less control.
Dark wood and warm brass make this Pakistani cutlery feel reassuringly solid in the hand.
