How to use

Buffet service with all-steel forks

All-steel forks are ideal for a self-service table because guests pick them up in passing and nobody worries about wet handles. For a buffet for six:

  1. Put the plates at the start of the line and the cutlery at the end, so guests are not juggling forks while serving.
  2. Roll each fork with its matching knife in a napkin, or stand the forks handle-down in a jug.
  3. Keep the wooden case open behind the table with spares inside.
  4. After the meal, rinse the forks promptly; food left to dry between the tines is the hardest part to clean.

This is everyday Pakistan cutlery at its most practical.

Care & maintenance

Spot-free shine for all-steel forks

With no wood or horn to worry about, care is mostly about avoiding water spots and keeping the polish:

  • Wash soon after use; acidic foods such as tomato, vinegar or lemon can leave marks if they dry on the steel.
  • Dry with a soft cloth straight away, between the tines as well.
  • If spots appear, a little white vinegar on a cloth, then a rinse and dry, removes most of them.
  • Store the forks in the wooden case or a lined drawer so they do not scratch against other metal cutlery.

Like any stainless Pakistan knife or fork, these resist rust well but are not completely stain-proof.

Questions & answers

Fork set questions, from finish to price

How good is the quality of a Pakistan knife like this one?

For a fork, quality shows at the tines and the joints. The tips should be evenly spaced and smooth, the inox bolster seamless with the steel handle and the polish consistent along the whole piece. The same checks apply to the matching all-steel knife set, whose 420 blades take and keep a good table edge.

What is the price of this fork set in Pakistan?

In Pakistan the price appears in rupees (PKR) at the top of the page, for six forks with the steel in their wooden case. Hotels, shops and other bulk buyers receive lower rates per set: send us the quantity on WhatsApp or email.

Do the forks match the all-steel knives?

Yes, the set is built to accompany the all-steel knife set with the inox bolster. Ordering both is the simplest way to stock matching knives made in Pakistan and forks for a whole table.

Sharpening

Looking after the steel itself

The steel packed with these forks is for the all-steel table knives they partner, and the rod itself deserves a little care too:

  1. Before honing, check the rod by eye: deep nicks along it would scratch an edge rather than align it.
  2. Hone each knife at about 20 degrees, sweeping from heel to tip, four strokes per side with light pressure.
  3. Wipe the rod with a dry cloth afterwards to remove the fine metal dust that builds up on it.
  4. Store the steel in its place in the wooden case, not loose in a drawer where other cutlery can dent it.

The forks themselves need no edge at all; just keep the tines straight and smooth.
