Display & retail

Knife and sheath at one price

The simplest way to sell more sheaths is to stop selling them separately. Pre-pack a 10.5 cm folder with this black sheath, price the pair slightly below the two items bought alone, and put the bundle at the front of the shelf.

Keep a few loose sheaths on a hook for customers who already own a knife. Ask your wholesale knife suppliers to ship sheaths in the same carton as the folders, so bundles can be built the day the stock arrives. Before school holidays and festivals, move the bundles next to the till, where last-minute gift buyers decide.

Questions & answers

Ten-and-a-half centimetre questions

Is 10.5 cm a common size for pocket knives?

It is one of the most useful. In our own range, many folders have a 10.5 cm handle, so this sheath covers a large share of a typical pocket knife selection. Check the closed length of a specific model before ordering.

What is it made of?

Black leather with a snap-button closure, cut as a plain pouch without padding. It sits between the entry-level rounded sheath and the padded case at this length, which makes it the everyday choice.

Can sheaths ship with my knife order?

Yes. When ordered together, sheaths travel in the same shipment as your knives from Pakistan, which saves a second delivery. Send us the full list for one quote.

Care & maintenance

Off-season storage for leather sheaths

Sheaths that sit in a stockroom between seasons need a little thought:

  • Store them flat in their carton, not crushed under heavy boxes, so the pouches keep their shape.
  • Keep cartons off bare concrete floors, which draw damp into leather.
  • Leave a little air: sealed plastic in a humid stockroom can encourage mould.
  • Before restocking the shelf, wipe each sheath with a dry cloth and look it over for marks.

The same applies to sheaths sold with Pakistani knives or any other folders you carry.

Pro tip

Work the snap before the customer does

A new snap can feel stiff, and a customer who struggles with it may decide the sheath is poorly made. Before hanging new stock, open and close each snap ten times. It takes seconds per sheath, loosens the stud to a smooth click, and makes the 10.5 cm sheath feel right in the hand at the first try.
