Size, closure and leather: finding the right sheath
Our 19 sheaths are listed by total length, from a compact 8 cm pouch up to tapered 18 cm models for larger fixed blades. The right one depends on the knife, how it will be carried and the look the customer wants.
- Size first: measure the closed folder, or the blade and lower handle of a fixed blade, and choose a sheath slightly longer. Many of our knife pages already name the compatible sheath reference.
- Closure and belt fitting: most close with a snap, and several add a riveted belt-loop bar, like the Black Leather Knife Sheath – 13 cm.
- Interior: straight pouches suit slim folders, while padded, curved interiors such as the Black Leather Knife Sheath, Curved Moulded Pouch cradle rounder handles.
- Leather: most are black split leather; tan cowhide versions, such as the Honey-Tan Cowhide Knife Sheath, suit natural wood handles and a more traditional look.
For a retailer, sheaths are the simplest add-on: stock the sizes that fit your best-selling knives, plus a universal model for walk-in customers. Sourcing knives and sheaths from the same Pakistan knife makers removes most of the usual trial and error over fit.
