Who reaches for a spare black sheath

A plain black sheath with a snap closure is the accessory nobody plans to buy until an old one wears through or a new knife arrives without one. Retailers who buy Pakistan knives wholesale do well to keep a few of these 12 cm sheaths behind the counter for exactly that moment.

  • Replacing a worn-out sheath
  • Covering an unboxed folding knife
  • Glovebox and toolbox storage
  • Protecting edges in transit
  • Bundling with a knife sale
  • Camping and fishing kits
Questions & answers

Sizing, leather and logos

Which knives fit a 12 cm sheath?

The sheath measures 12 cm overall, so it suits folding knives whose closed length sits comfortably inside that, and small fixed blades of similar size. The snap should close without straining and the knife should not rattle. If you are unsure, send us the closed length of your knife and we will suggest the right size from the range.

What is split leather?

When a thick hide is divided into layers, the outer grain side becomes top-grain leather and the layer beneath it becomes split leather. Split is sturdy, economical and easy to work, which suits an everyday sheath; its surface is slightly fibrous and it softens with handling.

Can the sheath carry our brand?

Private label is available on request. Tell us your quantity and the mark you have in mind, and we will confirm what can be done on this sheath before the order is made up.

How to use

Fitting a folder into a snap sheath

Getting the fit right takes a minute and saves the leather from stretching:

  1. Fold the knife fully so the edge sits inside the handle before it goes near the sheath.
  2. Slide it into the pouch until it rests at the bottom.
  3. Bring the flap over and press the snap until it clicks; it should close without pulling the leather tight.
  4. Give the sheath a gentle shake: a knife that rattles needs a smaller sheath, one that strains the snap needs a larger one.
  5. Allow new split leather a few days of use to relax around the shape of the knife.

The same routine applies to most folding knives made in Pakistan in our catalogue.

Three add-ons that sell beside it

A sheath sells best next to the things that keep a knife in use. For shops stocking knives from Pakistan, these three sit naturally beside it:
