Questions & answers

Notches, stainless blades and price

What is the price of this pocket knife sharpener in Pakistan?

The unit price is shown at the top of the page, in rupees for visitors in Pakistan. Outdoor and hardware shops buying by the dozen pay less per piece; message us on WhatsApp or by email with your quantity for a wholesale quote.

How do I use the notches?

Rest the sharpener on the edge of a table and hold it firmly. Set the heel of the blade in a notch and draw the knife through towards you with light pressure, three to five times. Wipe off the filings and test the edge on paper.

Will it work on a stainless blade?

Yes. Any stainless Pakistan knife with a plain edge, from a pocket folder to a garden knife, can be touched up in the notches. Serrated edges are better left to a tapered rod.

Care & maintenance

Clean notches, dry steel

Made entirely of steel, the sharpener needs the same basic care as a blade:

  • After use, brush the metal filings out of both notches with an old toothbrush.
  • Wipe it dry before it goes back into a pocket or tackle box, especially after fishing.
  • In a humid kit, a cloth with a drop of oil wiped over the black surface keeps damp at bay.
  • Store it flat and away from loose tools, so the notches are not damaged.

Looked after this way, it keeps Pakistan knives and other everyday blades working season after season.
