Questions & answers

What is in the box, and what is not

Does the box include a knife?

No. It comes with a 10 cm sharpening rod and a small grease tin, fitted into a red velvet-lined wooden box. Pair it with one of our knives from Pakistan to complete it; the listing names sheaths ref. 2060, 2070, 2090 and 2100 as compatible, sold separately.

What is the grease for?

A thin film protects a blade from moisture in storage and keeps the pivot of a folding knife moving smoothly. Apply a little with a cloth, then wipe off the excess before the knife is used, especially on food.

Can the lid carry a name or logo?

Personalisation can be discussed on request for wholesale orders. Send us the design and the quantity, and we will tell you what is possible on the wooden lid.

Display & retail

Open lid, red velvet, knife beside it

A wooden gift box changes how a knife is perceived, so show it open. Set one on the counter with the lid up, the red velvet visible, the sharpening rod and grease tin in place, and a folder in its sheath resting beside it.

For a retailer, the box works best as part of a gift bundle: price knife, sheath and box together, and push the bundle before Eid, Christmas, Father's Day and graduation season. Keep stacked boxes behind the counter rather than on an open shelf, where browsing hands scratch the lids.

Best uses

Moments when a boxed care kit fits

With its sharpening rod and grease tin, the box is a maintenance kit and a presentation case in one. As Pakistan knife makers, we offer it for the moments when a knife is bought to be given or kept:

  • Completing a folding knife gift
  • Hunting and outdoor shop counters
  • Corporate and long-service presents
  • Shop counter gift bundles
  • Storing a knife with its care kit

Occasions that suit red velvet

Red velvet lining gives this box a celebratory feel, so match it to occasions that call for one:

  • A father's or grandfather's birthday, with a classic folder in its sheath beside the rod and grease tin.
  • Graduation or a first job, when a good knife and the means to look after it make a practical start in life.
  • A wedding, where the fathers of the couple each receive a boxed knife.
  • Eid, Christmas or a retirement, for anyone who appreciates well-kept tools.

Shops selling knives made in Pakistan can keep a few boxes ready-wrapped for last-minute buyers.
