Black ABS and brass, a practical pairing
Not every handle in a Sialkot catalogue is wood. ABS is a tough engineering plastic that can be moulded or cut into handle scales, and it does not swell or split after a soaking the way wood can. Its glossy black finish needs no oiling, which is why it is chosen for knives that will live in toolboxes, vans and kitchen drawers.
The bolster on this Pakistan folding knife is brass rather than the inox used on its wooden siblings. Brass polishes easily, does not rust and slowly takes on a warm patina, a classic contrast against black. With an 8 cm stainless blade in a 10 cm handle, it is built for hard daily use.
