Care & maintenance

Weekly five-minute service for the bulldog

Five minutes once a week keeps this tactical knife working the way it did on day one:

  • Open the knife and check the pivot area for lint, sand or sap; clear it with a dry brush or a puff of air.
  • Wipe the 11 cm stainless blade with a damp cloth, dry it, and apply a very thin film of light oil.
  • Clean the non-slip handle with soapy water and a soft brush, then dry it, paying attention to the edges of the red bulldog medallion.
  • Add one drop of oil at the pivot and work the blade a few times to spread it.
Questions & answers

Questions about the bulldog folder

Is it legal to carry a knife like this?

That depends on local law, which varies widely. Some places regulate blade length, others the opening mechanism or the reason for carrying, and the rules can change between neighbouring regions. Find out what applies where you live before carrying it, store it out of children's reach, and if you sell it, check age and sales requirements.

What is the price of this tactical knife in Pakistan?

The figure at the top of the page is a per-knife price, in PKR for visitors in Pakistan. Buying for a shop? The rate falls as quantities rise: send us the number by WhatsApp or email and we will quote, including mixed orders across the animal series.

Is the bulldog the same size as the other animal knives?

Yes. The 11 cm blade and 12 cm handle are shared across the animal medallion folders, and the weights differ by only a few grams; this one is 142 g. That makes it easy to stock Pakistan pocket knives from the series side by side.

Sharpening

Restoring an 11 cm folding edge on a ceramic rod

A ceramic rod is forgiving for anyone new to sharpening:

  1. Open the blade fully and make sure it stands firm before you start.
  2. Stand the rod upright on a table, tip resting on a folded cloth, and place the heel of the edge against the top at about 20 degrees.
  3. Draw the blade down and towards you in one stroke, so the whole 11 cm edge touches the rod from heel to tip.
  4. Alternate sides, five to ten strokes each, with light pressure.
  5. Test on a sheet of paper; it should slice without tearing.

Wipe the blade before folding it into the non-slip handle, so no ceramic dust reaches the pivot.
